Our Story
Growing Up
Justin was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from Fox Chapel. Monica was born in the Philippines, spent much of her childhood in California, and moved to Pittsburgh when she was 13, later graduating from Shaler Area.
Life eventually took both of us away from Pittsburgh for a while, but somehow we each found our way back to the place we call home.
And then, in July 2020, we found each other.
Our First Date Was a Little… Different 🪂
Most couples start with dinner, drinks, or maybe coffee.
We jumped out of an airplane.
Our first date was a tandem skydive, and apparently falling toward the earth together at around 120 mph was a pretty good way to find out if there was a spark. 😂
That one tandem turned into a relationship—and a shared passion that has become a huge part of our lives.
Today, Justin has more than 400 skydives and Monica has more than 300. Together, we’ve jumped in more than 15 states, with a goal of eventually jumping in all 50.
We’ve jumped from different types of airplanes, helicopters, and even hot-air balloons, and our skydiving bucket list keeps getting longer.
Someday, we hope to skydive near the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, experience the Great Blue Hole in Belize, and jump over Palm Jumeirah in Dubai—along with plenty of other adventures we haven’t checked off the list yet.
Skydiving has taken us to incredible places, introduced us to some amazing people, and given us memories we’ll carry with us forever.
But as much as we love chasing the next adventure, home and family are what always bring us back.
The Crew Behind the Crew ❤️
Between us, we have three kids. Justin is dad to Giada and Easton, and Monica is mom to Lena.
Family is a huge part of our lives, and it’s one of the reasons the holidays mean so much to us. We know how quickly the years go by and how valuable those Christmas memories become.
It’s also why we understand that your time during the holidays is better spent making those memories—not standing on a ladder fighting with a strand of Christmas lights.
Pittsburgh is the place that brought both of us home, the place we’re raising our family, and now the place where we’re building something together.
And from jumping out of airplanes to climbing ladders and lighting up homes, apparently we’ve never been very good at keeping our feet on the ground. 😉
